Previously a historic mill, Burrs Country Park Caravan Club Site has much to offer the whole family - from relaxing river and countryside walks to contemporary art, and with the nostalgic East Lancashire Steam Railway passing by. The caravan site also gives you easy access to the beautiful Country Park situated just north of Bury town centre, and is handy for trips into Manchester using the tramlink.
Burrs Country Park Caravan Club Site is based around the River Irwell and the remains of two cotton mills - Higher Woodhill Mill and Burrs Mill. Extensive development of the mill has left interesting archaeological remains and water courses in the area. Those who enjoy outdoor pursuits will not be disappointed - the caravan park offers loads of opportunities for fun activities, from climbing, abseiling and canoeing to a purpose built training pool, Slalom Courses on the river and lots of interesting walking trails.
