Caravanning for the Disabled

Caravanning is a wonderful way to tour round the country and visit many places, someone with a disability can also enjoy this experience. Once you have got the right caravan you can get away and feel the freedom to explore without the worry or hassle.

It is also possible to adapt any caravan to suit the needs of a disabled caravanner by fitting ramps etc. If you are new to caravanning it is worth looking at one of the newer caravans with fixed beds as this will make life easier. Also, you may find the showers with the glass panels a bit difficult so opt for the one where there is a toilet and shower together as you will be able to sit down on the toilet seat whilst you shower. You can also hire a caravan at some caravan sites which would give you an opportunity to try it out before taking the plunge.
